Financial Assistance
HMEI has limited resources for students and families needing finacial assistance. Eligibility for financial assistance is determined by demonstrated need. A detailed Financial Aid Application and supporting documents are required annually. Application for assistance must be submitted to the school office by July 1, prior to the school year assistance is requested.
Students receiving financial assistance are expected to demonstrate reasonable efforts in maintaining good academic and behavioral standing at HMEI. Continuation of financial aid is continguent upon a student's satisfactory academic and behavioral records throughout the school year.
For those who are members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, additional financial aid may be available from your local Seventh-day Adventist Church and/or the Hawaii Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Arrangements must be made with them and with the school before any financial aid can be applied to your account. Until the school is presented with written confirmation from the church and/or the Conference, you are expected to pay the full tuition.
